GLOBAL CHILDREN’S NETWORK EXPANDS TO 10 COUNTRIES IN YEAR TWO
MINISTRY UPDATE FROM DR JACK D EGGAR:
There are over 5 million Christian churches around the world and most are not adequately trained and resourced to lead vibrant, fruit-bearing children, youth, and family discipleship ministries.
In 2004, I had the joy of leading the first 4-14 Window Conference in Chicago. Thanks to my friend Luis Bush and so many others that share his passion for missions, the 4-14 movement spread rapidly. By 2016, Luis and the Transform World 2020 team and participating organizations expanded the movement to 100 countries. But as Dr Bush related to me in September, 2016, one thing was still needed. That one thing turned out to be the overwhelming need for a network that could make connections globally with pastors, parents, and ministry practitioners in order to provide them with church leadership training solutions and resources. Global Children’s Network was established in Blaine, Washington on January 17, 2017 to address both the need and challenge given personally by Luis.
GCN exists to help the church make next generation disciples. That is the core mission of the church as told by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20. We take discipleship seriously by effectively bridging the gap between the church and home by embracing parents as mentors to their children. For many churches it becomes an active partnership blessed and activated by the Lord.
THERE ARE THREE BASIC, FUNCTIONAL PARTS TO GCN:
1. We train pastor, parents, and volunteers through 4-14 Window conferences, leadership conferences, family conferences, and national ministry roundtables where leaders work together to help churches fulfill their mission to disciple the world.
2. We resource these same leaders in their churches so that they have effective tools to do ministry. This is done through the Internet as churches are given access to a continually growing resource center.
3. We provide an absolutely free children, youth, and family ministry platform called Malachi Kids that will serve churches with excellence anywhere in the world.
MALACHI KIDS UPDATE:
In March of this year our Africa Project Director Paul Mamba and GCN Chief Operating Officer Gary Minta led our first Malachi Kids Leadership Training Conference in Tanzania, Africa. Just over 160 leaders completed their training and were commissioned to go and start Malachi Kids chapters in their churches. Many have done so and we now estimate there will be 3,000 children and youth enrolled in long term discipleship by the end of 2018.
However, something extraordinary is happening now. An individual trained back in March named Yuda Justin Ndanu is now in the “Morogoro” region of Tanzania training 50 more people to lead Malachi Kids in their respective churches! That’s because back in March, Paul and Gary raised up, trained, and commissioned a number of “master trainers”. These same people are opening doors to areas across Tanzania as I write this! And all of this is sustainable which is unlike so many western ministries that unwittingly build dependencies that can only endure as long as the dollars continue.
HOW MUCH DID OUR MALACHI KIDS PROJECT COST?
Over the next few years tens of thousands of children and youth will be evangelized and discipled in Tanzania even if we never return. So, how much did this cost? The answer is: 10K
Imagine with me a church or individual with a God-given passion for the people of one of the 200 plus countries of the world. We can and will duplicate what is now happening in Tanzania. Interested in making an eternal impact in the lives of tens of thousands of children and youth? What a legacy that would be. Please contact me. I will find great joy in showing you this unprecedented door of opportunity the Lord has set before us…and you! What country are you interested in visiting and serving with me?
Here is the list of countries where we plan to have Malachi Kids up and running by year end:
